Siemens Apprenticeships 31May08

Siemens Apprenticeships was my first piece at Barkers Digital (Nov 2007) as a freelancer. The challenge was to create the layout in two days for initial client approval and then have a bit more time for flash animation and other bits. The target was students between 16/18 years old so I decided to go for a funky colorful style. The layout also follows the Fibonacci guidelines from Siemens.

The Third City - Croydon Council 31May08

Croydon Council - Third City website.
The plan was to create the whole environment  in flash with people walking around the buildings and coming towards the screen to talk about the different contents of the website. But for budget and time-scale issues we had to deliver a much more slim version of it.

The whole city was created in photoshop using almost grey scale images, giving more emphasis to the green and young aspects of the new third city.

**** EDIT ****

The website has just been awarded from ONREC - Online Recruitment Awards as Best Public Sector Recruitment site. As I’m not working working at Barkers anymore I couldn’t get the award myself but it still a recognition of my work.

I’m very glad that even if it wasn’t my original thoughts it still have some good feedback.
